You can test the Parsing API on your own resumes from your HrFlow.ai workspace, then activate it in self-serve when you're ready. Both take a few minutes and no code.
Before you start: you need an HrFlow.ai workspace. Sign up if you don't have one yet.
Part 1: Parse a resume in Try mode
Step 1: Open the Parsing API
In the left menu, click Get Started (1) and stay on the Self-Service Products tab (2). Scroll down to AI Products Plans > Extraction Lab, then click Try a demo (3) on the Parsing API card.
Go to the AI Studio section and click on AI Solutions. Under the Basic Products tab, click on the Profile Parsing API switch to activate your monthly plan.
Step 2: Choose what to parse
The Parsing API panel opens on the Try tab (1). In the first menu (2), keep Resume Parsing selected to parse a CV. You can also switch to:
Text Parsing for raw text, such as a job description you paste in.
File Parsing for other HR documents, excluding CVs and job descriptions.
Step 3: Upload a resume and run the parsing
Click Upload a CV (3) and select a file: PDF, Word or image, up to 20 MB.
Under Choose Parsing Model (4), pick a model. QuickSilver is selected by default.
Click Reveal the Magic (5) to parse the resume and see the extracted data.
Which model fits the purpose? Faster models return results sooner; more precise models take longer but handle harder documents.
Model | Best for |
QuickSilver | Clean resumes and well-structured job descriptions |
Hawk | Scanned resumes and complex layouts |
Atlas | Scans, images, complex layouts and multi-page documents |
Chronos | Complex multi-page resumes and nested work experiences |
Tip: parse the same resume with two models to compare the results.
Part 2: Activate the Parsing API in self-serve
Step 4: Open the Buy tab
In the same panel, click Buy (1). You can also get there from the Parsing API card on Get Started: click Subscribe, or Update subscription if you already have a plan (4 in the first screenshot).
Step 5: Select the APIs you need
Tick one or more APIs (2). The counter above the list shows how many you selected.
API | What it parses | Price |
CV Parsing API | Resumes and CVs, into a profile with 60+ data points | 100 free requests/month, then €0.10 per request |
Job & Text Parsing API | Job descriptions and any raw text, with 60+ data points | 100 free requests/month, then €0.05 per request |
File Parsing API | Other HR documents, excluding CVs and job descriptions | 100 free requests/month, then €0.05 per request |
Step 6: Add a card and confirm
Under Payment method (3), enter the name on the card, the card number, the expiry date and the CVV. Then click Update Subscription (4) to confirm.
